Funding Released to Help Maine Veterans Find Housing
WASHINGTON, DC - July 18, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Congressman Mike Michaud praised the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announcement that it is providing funding to help Maine’s homeless and at-risk veterans and their families. Veterans Inc. of Worcester, Massachusetts was awarded $1 million to serve New England veterans through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program, which is a critical element of VA’s plan to prevent and end homelessness among veterans. Veterans, Inc. subcontracts with ESM, Inc. based in Augusta to serve Maine veterans.
Michaud Announces more than $14 million in Housing and Community Development Grants in Maine
WASHINGTON, DC - July 12, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Today, Congressman Mike Michaud announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded the State of Maine $10,581,799 under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and $3,430,081 under the HOME Program.
Encourages Mainers who were wronged to call DOJ

According to the White House, this relief coming from mortgage servicers is in addition to the over $25 billion committed through the previously announced settlement completed by the federal government and 49 state Attorneys General last month.
